Despe

Despe is a family-run business with extensive experience in demolition, engineering consulting, decommissioning and remediation.
With a reputation built on technical expertise, an innovative approach and the ability to manage complex projects, Despe needed to revamp its digital identity to mark its 50th anniversary. They turned to us for the second time.
The goal was to design and develop a digital ecosystem aligned with their corporate values of authority, innovation and reliability.
The challenge was to translate Despe's identity and the complexity of its services into an intuitive, structured and distinctive digital experience capable of supporting international growth and market positioning.
The collaboration led to the creation of three interconnected websites that reflect the different aspects of the company — Despe, Self Climbing Kokoon and Top Down Way.
We followed a results-oriented development approach based on continuous iterations, progressively integrating new pages and features based on navigation flows and communication needs. The result is an online presence that highlights not only the solidity and experience gained in 50 years of activity, but also the ability to innovate and respond effectively to the demands of the global market.
We started by reorganising the content, analysing the existing site and incorporating customer feedback to define a new information architecture. The result: a unique navigation system that connects the three sites while maintaining a consistent design across all touchpoints.
We built a modular and scalable digital ecosystem based on a headless architecture. Each site lives within a monorepo that integrates front-end and CMS into a single development environment, ensuring consistency and speed of deployment.
For the front-end, we chose Next.js, combining the performance of a static site with real-time content updates through Sanity's Live Content API. The result: content that is always up to date without compromising speed.
Content management is entrusted to Sanity with a shared multi-site studio. A single interface to administer all three sites in a flexible, modular and fully customisable way.
The system supports five languages — Italian, English, Spanish, French and Chinese — with automatic routing and fully localised content management.
Finally, we translated the company's identity into the language of animation. Each transition follows a downward movement reminiscent of demolition, the core of Despe's controlled demolition business, making navigation a consistent and distinctive experience.
